Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of NorthStar. By creating an account, using the service or purchasing a membership, you agree to them.

NorthStar membership

NorthStar+ offers a monthly membership at £9.99 and an optional annual membership at £99. A valid payment method is required to start the 3-day trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected monthly or annual membership begins and renews automatically. You can cancel through the Stripe billing portal before the next renewal date.

NorthStar 30-Day Reset

The NorthStar 30-Day Reset is a separate, limited offer available for new purchases from 1 October to 31 December 2026 in the United Kingdom when it is shown as available on our site. It costs £19.99 as a one-time payment. It is not a NorthStar+ subscription, does not renew automatically and does not enrol you in NorthStar+ at the end of the programme.

Reset access starts when payment is successfully confirmed and continues for 30 consecutive days. Buying at any point during the offer still gives you the full 30 days. After the offer closes, existing Reset customers retain access for the rest of their purchased programme, but new Reset purchases are not available. Any later NorthStar+ membership is optional and requires a separate checkout.

Refunds and cancellation

New members receive a 3-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to begin the trial, but you will not be charged until it ends. Unless you cancel before then, your selected monthly or annual membership will begin automatically. You may cancel NorthStar+ at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the end of the current billing period.

The NorthStar 30-Day Reset is a one-time digital purchase. Access begins immediately when payment is successfully confirmed. Once access begins, it is a final, non-refundable purchase and there is no subscription or renewal to cancel. This does not limit any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Digital guides

The 7-Day Stoic Journal is a free PDF; we ask for an email address to unlock the download, while marketing emails remain optional. The Daily Stoicism Starter Pack is a separate £9.99 one-time PDF purchase. Neither guide requires a NorthStar subscription, and buying a guide does not enrol you in a membership or unlock paid Insights. The starter pack is available to download after payment is confirmed. Contact us if you have difficulty accessing your purchase. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Trial and Insights access

The NorthStar+ trial includes journaling, planning, goals, habits, reviews and AI guidance. Insights becomes available when your paid membership begins. Active paid 30-Day Reset customers also receive Insights access for their programme period.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Use NorthStar only for lawful purposes and do not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, scrape it, or use another person's account without permission.

Your content and AI guidance

You retain ownership of the content you add to NorthStar. You grant us permission to process it solely to operate, secure and improve the service for you. AI guidance is provided for general productivity and reflection only. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as such.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep NorthStar available and useful, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
